  1. The Romantic Rush Blog

Genius show case of some of the best creative minds!
WOW- what an incredible group of talented authors contributing to this anthology. As if that weren’t enticing enough- the premise is brilliant. Every author starts with the same first sentence as a prompt. 20+ identical starts, but 20+ vastly different short stories unfold. What an incredible tribute to the art of writing- a showcasing of the writing process in and of itself but also a great opportunity to showcase the individual talents and styles of the contributing authors, their own individuality further amplified by the shared backdrop of the uniformity of the first sentence. And, the money goes to charity? What more could you ask for in an anthology- talent, great unifying thread, and earns money for charities! Kudos to the authors and the Bookworm crew for the generosity of both their time and their art.

  6. Justmyfantasyworld

This was the first anthology that I ever read and I really like the concept. All of these stories start with the same sentence, and I was really surprised where all these writers took the story (they were so different!). For me personally it felt like I had a book with nice short bedtime stories (lol call me crazy). I was able to read one or more stories before sleeping which worked perfect for me. I also was able to read other full length books in between, since I could just pick up a new story from the anthology whenever I felt like it. It is hard to review this book as a whole, which I am doing anyways, because there will always be stories you like and dislike when it is such a broad range of writers and genres. Therefore, I am basing my star rating on the best stories I’ve read, which were definitely five star stories! The best thing about this book is that all authors have donated their stories so that the profits can go to charities and the price that you pay is totally worth for what you get back!! Even if you feel like you just like a handful of the stories, in my opinion the price is still worth it. Recommending this anthology to everyone!
